Spa, CLM, now Brands, and I'm having difficulty getting into nth s board except by phone, when I'm out without my diary! I'll check as soon as I get home on Sunday.

It's been an intermittent problem, first on the way to Classic Le Mans, and now at Brands.

The symptoms may not help other's to diagnose as my wiring is very modified. The electric rev counter fails and then the engine overheats as the electric pump fails too, which it did about two laps from the end of qualifying at Brands. I looked for and I thought found a poor connection, but in the pit garages a running water pump is totally inaudible thanks to all those blasted cars going by, but clealry not as it started to overheat on the green flag lap, so I came back in, no harm done. Back home, again I think I've found the poor connections - it was an earth! - on the water pump and on the rev counter - just the connectors on its back. Not associated at all, so I'm not certain of this fix.

Needs a test drive, and a test event, so the 3 Sisters Sprint will be most valuable, I hope!

I had that when we tried electric pump John. it was a faulty relay to the pump. could hear it clicking in and out as i coasted in a cloud of steam to the side of the track. cheap little part cost an engine.

I suspected the relay, Roy, as the one on my ignition had failed, just before CLM!

But because of that I had a spare and it made no difference.

The pump would run - and then not run after the engine started. Tapping the wiring would get it going, ad eventually I found a loose connection to the earth on the signal side of the relay, which accounted for the 'no volts' in the power lead.

Fingers crossed.

It was a bit excessive this AM, but cleared for the PM, even with sun beams from tint to time. And I got first in class! Did NOT expect that!

Thanks to Kevin for encouraging me to come along (not hard!) And to Shaun in his perfect rally Dolomite, for the competition!

Prize mug, beerfull, F1 on box. Aaaaaaagh!post-535-0-84402700-1532890192_thumb.jpg

Well done guys hope you all enjoyed it ( despite the rain)

Typical - all this sun and drought then rain on a race day.

It was my first time last year and I really rated the track and organisation

H

Ps

Looks like a different track layout to last year so not sure how the bogey times work ?

Hi Kev

Your link didn't work for me but this one does

Only if you have a face book account to log into.

Is there much more on face book than the club web/forum to make it worthwhile on the completion side. Am I missing out ?

I'm not a fan of facebook, but at times it feels a bit more instant/connected within a small group, and its easy to post pics and videos. Not a place for deep thought and considered arguments though. About 90% of facebook content is utter drivel

And whilst probably fake news as its from the BBC you may well be targeted for opinionated marketing from those out to sway your opinion?

I'd say yes, you are missing out. It is so much easier to post video and pictures. So bite the bullet, join facebook and then don't use it for anything else.
