DaveN
Had problems with the Overdrive that turned out to be the switch. So I replaced it, but this one is nearly as bad in as much as the overdrive will keep dropping out and reengaging. Are they all from the same source or are some better than others? Definitely the switch because if I put pressure on it I can get The overdrive to cycle! Or has anyone managed a good modification?
MikeF
The chance of your switch failing and your replacing it with a random switch with identical fault is probably small. I would be checking the connections, making sure there are no intermittent opens. Break and make connections and give them a wiggle whilst overdrive is in. If the fault can be fixed with pressure on switch it could be - if you have a metal column shroud - that the wiring is shorting to it. The terminals are exposed on some switches. Just wrap switch with tape . Mike
