Agrace
Does anyone have a really simple wiring diagram for the overdrive? I have a suspected short somewhere buried in the loom and want to bypass it to confirm. Thanks Andrew

tim hunt
Andrew, the short could well be to the steel harness cover under the column cowl. This happened on my car many moons ago during the first owner's tenure. Tim

ChrisR-4A
In case its not apparent from the diagrams its worth mentioning that the overdrive wiring except for the two feeds to the relay is a separate loom and a replacement can be constructed off the car using the original wires as a length guide. The important bit is that the power wires between the relay and the soleonoid are heavier gauge than the other wires as they carry the high operating current. While its all apart if the operating switch is an original then I can be dismantled and the contacts cleaned up to avoid problems in the future. I cleaned mine over 10 years ago and it worked fine since. Chris
