John Morrison
So reassembling rear wings on the TR4, and nothappy with how the trim lies at the rear, adjacent to the rear lights. The last tag, as far as I can see needs to be forward of the last fixing bolt, meaning that there is something like 50/60mm unfixed at the end, and this is prone to lifting slightly, can see this catching a leather etc, if someone is not careful, any thoughts? TR4TUNE
Hello John, mine has been done for some time but the end bits do tend to stick up a little. Current advice is to tape up the surrounding paintwork, put epoxy resin under the trim, remove excess and tape over the trim to hold in place overnight. Its on my jobs list. Grand weather up here for the last 6 weeks. Take care, John S
stuart
Always a perennial problem John and the epoxy resin idea is probably about the best solution though you can get one behind that last bolt if you are careful. Stuart.
AlanT
Put a little downward curl into the last 6in or so. Not easy to do unless you are used to making such adjustment to thin metal parts. Very easy to end up with a kink instead.
Drewmotty
What about cutting a small slot in the rear light housing and pulling a tab down through it. All would be hidden once the light is fitted.
ChrisR-4A
If theres not room for a tab cut it down so it will fit. Chris
