Hi

Just managed to roll the chassis out of the garage since rolling it in over a year ago. Before and after pics below. Am now running brake and fuel lines.

Does anyone have photos of where the brake line from rear comes to the front of the chassis?

I'm unclear on where the join to the pipe connected to master cylinder should be. Should it be within the chassis c section (as Moss diagram implies) or bent up into engine bay (which is what I think I can see in the before photo below)?

Similarly, does anyone have photos of where fuel and fuel return lines bend up at front and back of car? I found an old thread with some photos posted by Stuart but photobucket changes mean they're no longer visible.

Thanks

Here you go, brake line has a join on the chassis and then a join up in the engine compartment.

Stuart.

Hi Stuart,

that is very interesting. I see that the rear three way union is on the front face of the nearside bridge leg.

When I dropped my diff the other day I was cursing the union as it got in the way of dropping the diff vertically - it is on the rear face of the vertical leg.

I wonder if I can re-position it easily !!!

You could as its only held on by an "L" shaped bracket though obviously you would need to make up new pipes to suit.

Thanks Stuart. Much appreciated.

So (as my eyesight is bad!):

Brakeline on top

Then Fuel Return

Then Fuel

All three bend up and into the engine compartment somewhere near the bottom of the diagonal brace that supports the turrets. But there's also an earlier union for the brake pipe that connects further back.

Hope I've got that right.

Thanks again

Yep pretty much, I wouldnt worry too much about the bends at the front as if your doing it in copper you can do the proper routing when the body is on.

Hello Stuart;

I don't suppose you have a close up of the 3 way block for the rear left flexi-line brake hose?  The parts supplier has given me two identical hoses but the left side is supposed to have a raised cylinder boss.  I'm wondering if I can jury rig it with washers or does it fit inside the three-way.

Here`s one. The hose does need to be different with a flat flange end and theres no jury rigging to be done as its brakes!
