I pull my light switch on to at least halfway, and most of the time all the way, any time I drive my car. The standard lights and switching work fine as my DRLs.

Tom

If I did that here in Spain, I would loose my Historic registration and my number plates. The same would happen if I fit seat belts, they say they are not standard equipment as supplied when manufactured.

Not a 3A, but I added DRLs a couple of years ago to my TR3. Mounted a couple of LED strips (from China on eBay) to a piece of flat aluminum stock and wired to come on with ignition. Acts as badge bar for our club badge as well. Not a great picture, but only one I can find right now. The LEDs are pretty bright head-on and of course draw very little current. Cheers, Mike

To be quite honest ~ what's all this fuss about DRL's? (I know I started the discussion!!). :(:(

Remember when Volvo's brought out their permanently illuminated sidelights very many years ago?

They stood out for a short while until we all got used to them then they passed on into oblivion.

Now we have Eurofartboxes who 'self park' and anticipate the road ahead conditions!!:wacko:

How would these 'Euro Drivers' cope with TR's????:rolleyes:

Tom.

Tom,

A kit that may be of interest

https://www.tomtop.com/p-k1467.html

I have the front side/indicators on my TR3A that has clear lenses and uses these bulbs white for the sidelamp and when they flash they are orange - good and bright too. Specify pos or neg earth.

I have fitted them on the rear too with clear lenses amber for flasher and the white is a reversing lamp.

You will need a flasher relay suitable for LED bulbs.

Cheers

Does these LEDs fit under the flat front sidelight lenses of a TR2?
