boxofbits
Looks good, and OEM. I think I might have put a reserve on it, but will probably end up 2k + . Pity he's splitting it from the car really. Kevin
ianc
Likely to reduce the value of the car by more than the amount he receives, but it's his car and his choice. Ian Cornish
TR 2100
Original items are hard to find, even more so items that are original to the car. If the seller needs some cash, he should have sold his wheels!! Collection only is logical but may limit bids. I assume that it will be a steel hard top - if rust-free, even more rare that the alloy variety. Should reach a little over £2K - likely will need to be repainted. stillp
Is that headlining original for the TR5? Pete

PGB BME
Good surrey's fetch good money at the moment, My guess is the complete surrey will fetch near the £3k mark. Phil
Tom Fremont
I assume that it will be a steel hard top - if rust-free, even more rare than the alloy variety. I dare say - With no coating whatsoever inside they get rusted by condensation which settles in the perimeter seams. Very costly to restore ( but cheap to fill with plastic ) I reckon the only ones spared this fate were never fitted to the cars or always abided in a desert climate - the last place you would expect them to be desired! Amen to the notion expressed above about reducing the value of the rest of the car. Refitting one to a car with the cost of a proper restoration and repaint will easily add another £2k. Cheers, Tom
stuart
Doesnt say its original to the car so could have been fitted at anytime. Not many 5`s had Surreys from new. Stuart.

Doors have fixings for tonneau cover - I think I am right in saying these were NOT fitted when a surrey/hard top was specified. AlanR

AlanR I believe that is correct Alan, although my 4A was new to California as a soft top but without studs on the doors which I believe to be original. My 4 has an added alloy Surrey & studs on the doors! Cheers.
Tom Fremont
Doors have fixings for tonneau cover - I think I am right in saying these were NOT fitted when a surrey/hard top was specified. AlanR Dead giveaway ! I've got one of each, and had the holes in the doors filled in one when it got its makeover. The other hasn't been painted since I got it without the Surrey kit which I had fitted soon after. A little known fact, still. What you call an Anorak identifier? Factory pics all show snapless doors on hardtop cars. Cheers, Tom
stuart
I think you will also find that if a tonneau was not specified on order then the studs werent fitted either, Stuart.

Hamish
So I propose we all suggest a final price and the one closest has the title of -parts price expert - and puts a tenner in their favourite charity pot. Just for a bit of fun. Edit Closest to the nearest £1 ! Edited March 4, 2018 by Hamish

Drewmotty
Someone will snipe over £3k if they really want it. The recent weather might make it more attractive too. I'm going with £3150. I bought one for £25 in 1978 and when I went to collect it he said i could take the TR4 it was attached to for nothing!.....Different times.
