lee Posted February 16, 2018 Report Share Posted February 16, 2018 I have the rocker switches on the dash for wipers and squirters The replacements I bought do not fit My dash has a metal bracket thing screwed in the back of the dash to hold the clips on the switches Any ideas where I might get the units that fit? Mark69 Posted February 17, 2018 Report Share Posted February 17, 2018 Original clear hooter switch are very hard to get hold of , because of this they tend to be very expensive. I have also heard or read somewhere the changing of the innards of New switches to the old switch cases, but you will have to research this. saffrontr Posted February 18, 2018 Report Share Posted February 18, 2018 Lee, Presumably the replacement switches that you have obtained are Lucas rather than Clear Hooter. The fix for getting them to fit is to file the metal fixing bracket on the rear of the dash to make the gap wide enough.
