It will be close but they put on a temporary muffler if it is over. Castle Coombe is very strict due to the locals.

Cheers.

That would be good if the circuit offers that. Is there any way of finding out for sure? Actually I could just ring them. I’ve driven Castle Combe before but they didn’t ha ve a noise test then! They didn’t need seat belts either. JJC

PS My phone has a sound level meter, I could measure it myself if I knew the limit.

Noise limit: STRICT100db(A), which is measured at ½ metre from the exhaust outlet at 4500rpm

Err maybe...if you don't mind having an argument with their scrutineers who will be using Motorsport accredited sound meters which may not agree with your phone!

You could contact the Motorsport organisation and ask for the phone number of the most local sound scrutineer and arrange for him to noise test the car for you. I did and he made a small charge for it, but worth it rather than be failed.

Hi Mark

My Insurance with Footman James charges me £60 or a one off track day or I think £150 for 3 track days. Well worth it for peace of mind. Check with your insurers.

Thats sounds good value.

As the club has these track days. Does anyone know if the TRR scheme covers track days in the same way ?
