AarhusTr6
Hi I looked up r1c2h3a4r5d and they have been on eBay for 7 years with a lot of positive feedback How do they do this? Clone a profile? Rich
Charlie D
There are a couple of items there that seem genuine, no doubt belonging to the genuine owner of the name. (Proper sets of pictures and descriptions.) It can't do his reputation much good when this sort of thing happens. I too wonder how the scammer gets hold of the login details for such things.Makes you wonder if such details are freely available (for the right price) on the dark web. CONCRETE24
Hi I looked up r1c2h3a4r5d and they have been on eBay for 7 years with a lot of positive feedback How do they do this? Clone a profile? Rich I have recently experienced this, (lucky escape). During the process of selling my 6 I had a number of dialogues with bidders. One them was very interested, wanted to know reserve, would I end it early etc etc. I said I wouldnt but answered other questions about the car. After the auction ended I got a warning from eBay that this particular member was in fact using a stolen identity and I should under no circumstances communicate any further with them. Nothing else had marked them out as different to any number of other approaches I fended off. Its a bit like the Wild West out there! Stay safe, Michael

"there's no profit in it for them" and if you make a mistake and pay outside paypal for something your pretty much on your own so take acre out there. Keith
