sheldricka Posted October 31, 2017 Report Share Posted October 31, 2017 Looking for ideas on how I can fix a problem with the door check strap ear as this has largely snapped off on the drivers side. Whilst there is a small amount I could look to fabricate something off Im not sure what other options if any have been used to solve this problem. It looks like this is a part of the door and not something that can be replaced easily other than by a replacement door Quote Link to post Share on other sites
foster461 Posted October 31, 2017 Report Share Posted October 31, 2017 When I had this problem with my TR3, Stuart suggested taking a couple of suitable sized washers, stack them and weld them to the remains of the old bracket to create a new one with the correct diameter hole.
