RogerH Posted September 16, 2017 Report Share Posted September 16, 2017 Hi Paul, whilst looking at the solenoid select off and see who long the solenoid take sot drop down. It may be that the plunger is dirty/corroded and simply sticking. I had a rather stiff boot on my plunger which held the plunger up. If that is not the fault (plunger drops quickly) then the fault is inside. What oil do you use? Thicker oil take alittle longer to drain form the pressure system system (but usually doesn;t) I use the thinner Penrite GB40 gear oil. TR4A1965 Posted September 16, 2017 Author Report Share Posted September 16, 2017 Hi Stuart and Roger. Mike Papworth rebuilt the box so not sure what was or not replaced. I took it for a drive to get a better feel of the issue and it seems to be erratic. Over drive on revs drop. Over drive off revs come back up if you put in a bit more accelerator (Fairly instantly) Then, when driving along all of a sudden the revs shoot up as if the overdrive has delayed????? Then all normal. At around 60mph it feels a bit lumpy but either side of the fine? Best. Paul. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
RogerH Posted September 16, 2017 Report Share Posted September 16, 2017 Hi Paul, thinking sideways - if you accelerate the engine torque will move the engine maybe dislodging a wire. It may also move the gearstick on the rubber boot and lifting it off an inhibit switch. When you back off normality comes back. Roger Quote Link to post Share on other sites
