Hardtop seal

I realise that this is an old post, however I have a related question. The part Heckler refers to is 626155, there are two of these and they fit in channels underneath the hardtop, one shown in image below. My ask is about 626156, "Seal, Rubber, roof to rear deck" this is the same type of seal, designed to fit in a channel, however, my car doesn't have a channel across the centre section, nor is there any evidence of their having been one, or even of a seal having been stuck straight to the metal. Is my roof missing a channel? does 626156 sit in the side channels that my 626155's are in? A photo please if you have a roof with both seal types fitted.

Having received a number of very helpful pics from Chris (Heckler), it appears that a section of steel plate carrying the rubber seal channel is missing from my hardtop. The interesting thing is that there is no evidence of anything having been cut away, there is a tell tale mark of a seal having been glued immediately behind the lip below the rear window. I now have a hardtop seal channel from an MGB, it isn't the right profile but it is quite malleable, I think I need to have a new rectangular section let in and then attach the channel, all should then be as per every other hardtop pic I've seen.
