I am reluctantly putting my 1967 TR250 up for sale due mainly to lack of use and other projects - the usual story!! I thought I would give this Forum first look before I put it up for sale on the usual sites.

CD/916-L was built in October 1967 and shipped to Los Angeles. It has spent most of its life in California, according to the fairly extensive history that came with it. In 2000 it underwent a full restoration by XK's Unlimited, a Jaguar and British car specialist, costing over $30,000. In 2006 it was bought by a Canadian and shipped to Vancouver where it put on 2500 dry miles until I imported it in 2014. Since then it has only covered a further 1500 summer miles and has been kept in a heated carcoon through the winter.

As you can see from the photos, this is a stunning car; the only thing stopping it being a concours winner is the fact that it is painted in a non-Triumph colour (Porsche Arena Red) and the restorer decided that satin black was more appropriate for the inside of the boot and engine bay. Also it now has minilites rather than factory wire wheels. Mechanically it is incredibly well sorted and starts and runs impeccably. For someone wanting a car they can just jump in and use, this is it! As would be expected after 17 years there are one or two small marks on the paint, which are barely noticeable. The chassis and body are rust free and I waxoyled the chassis as soon as it arrived, so there are no worries there.

It is booked for an MOT on Tuesday so will come with 12 months.

As mentioned, it does come with some history and receipts dating back to 1971 as well as some spares, including the original steering wheel (needing restored), tonneau cover and a Stanpart TR250 spare parts catalogue.

I am asking for offers in the region of £27,995. Location is Aberdeenshire.

Thanks

Ali
