Mike Atwell
Hi, I am thinking that i might like to have an air-conditioning kit fitted to my UK spec right hand drive, petrol injected TR6 which is a 1974 CR model. Does anyone have any experience with this and who is the best outfit to have this done by?
Rob Salisbury
Air con in a TR ...... simple ... put the top down (or remove the hard top) .... control the air flow by considered use of the right foot!!
Austin Branson
Hello Mike, you probably know that ac was offered on North American TR's - there was a kit offered on Ebay a few months ago. I think you should probably start by looking at small, air conditioned saloons. I run a Peugeot 307 with climate control. Maybe a trip to a scrap yard might be in order, at least as a starter for ten. I think if you approach a specialist company it is going to cost a huge amount of money. Let us know how you get on. barkerwilliams
Mike, http://www.tr-register.co.uk/forums/index.php?/topic/61535-bargain-tr6-with-hardtop/ This looks a right rust bucket and cheap, but might have an aircon unit fitted if you want the parts.
