Corbitt R
Has anybody had experience of using this type of manual car lift, perhaps with axle stands for extra support. Would prefer a scissor lift but no space in the garage. Roger
Corbitt R
typing error should be CJ autos

RogerH
Hi Roger, a number of posters have sunk their scissor lift as shown by Mick. Roger Edited December 1, 2016 by RogerH
Pogo
Hi Roger Yes - I have the CJ Autos 3in1 tilting lift and it is a great bit of kit. It's solid and you have to make it the correct width, but it is sturdy and I was confident that it was going to do what I needed it to do. It lifted the '6 up with no issues and I was able to change the exhaust easily. It tilts with ease and I used axle stands as well. Highly recommended. Roger

nigel clarke
Hi, I had one of these, sadly sold it when moved house but as you can see from the pic, excellent for all round access with car completely of ground. Nigel

parky
I have had one of CJs scissor lifts for some time, I modified it to fit the TR6 and put two small wheels in it so I can store it standing up. Great bit of kit. Parky
Motorsport Mickey
Parky, Doesn't storing a TR6 standing up require a very tall garage ? Eats, shoots and leaves. Mick Richards
Corbitt R
Hi Parky What modification did you have to make to fit the TR6 Roger
Pogo
Roger You don't have to make a modification as such. The lift comes with options for 3 widths - you just have to make it up with the correct cross section. It is all supplied, you just make it what width you want it to fit your car. It can be made bigger or smaller after. It also has sturdy wheels so it can be wheeled out of the way and stood up for storage - it doesn't take up much room. If you want to discus it with me let me know and I'll PM you my phone number so we can chat. Roger
Motorsport Mickey
Why don't you consider this item Levo Artis full length ramps, they will fit into a small single garage and will store in a pretty small space and there is a pair being offered on the forum at present, try the last couple of posts and there are some decent photos of car mounted upon them - good value. http://www.tr-register.co.uk/forums/index.php?/topic/60246-levo-artis-car-ramps/ Mick Richards
