Graham
Latest challenge on UOV is that on application of full throttle the ball joint on the end of the throttle pedal pops off, is this more likely to be a wear or adjustment issue. ATB Graham
RogerH
Hi Graham, if it is like the normal joints - see item ' 92 on here http://www.moss-europe.co.uk/shop-by-model/triumph/tr2-4a/fuel-system-induction-controls/carburettors-manifolds/carburettors-air-cleaners-h4-su.html then it is a spring loaded joint with a screwed down cap. Perhaps the cap wasn't screwed enough. Does the ball of the joint look good - no flats etc. On my 4 and 4A I have used Rose joints (3/16 and 5mm) to replace worn balls. BlueTR3A-5EKT
I still have a small stock of NOS throttle rod balls UK£ 3.50 each inc UK postage PM me if interested Cheers Peter W PS renewal of these things usually fixes the 'popping off' throttle rod issue. Roger Roger Thanks for the link it shows me that somebody has replaced my rod ends with nylon ones and with further inspection one of the sockets has cracked so a new '92' duly ordered ATB Graham
