roy53
Where can i get a new seal for the cap which seals when the cap is closed,if you get my drift as when the tank is full the fumes are quite over powering. Yes checked all other areas such as the pipe connectors and the gasket to the sender unit. The one in the cap is very hard or should i say solid, reddish colour . stuart
They are available from the usual suspects though often difficult to get the old one out, another option is a Viton square section "O" ring Stuart. Guest ntc
I would suspect the link from filler neck to tank?
boxofbits
Hi Roy With regard to the fumes, are you certain the tank is not weeping a bit. My 4a started smelling of petrol and turned out to be a slightly porous tank as quite prone to rusting through? The MOT tester failed my car on the fuel tank cap seal. I ended up buying a new cap from Moss which is for once an excellent reproduction. Regards Kevin
