andy taylor
Help, I have been refurbishing the instruments on my TR6 and had to order some new bezels and seals. She who must be obeyed would not let me keep the bits on the dinning table while I waited for the parts. So I duly packed up the bits carefully and stored them away. When I came to reassemble my rev counter i found that the pointer (needle what ever you call it) had broken into two pieces (I obviously had not stored them carefully enough). Does anybody have a spare or know where I could buy one? Desperate Andy
peejay4A
I can't help Andy but a potential donor would need to know if it's a CP or CR instrument. Edited August 26, 2016 by peejay4A
andy taylor
Many thanks Pete, I will see if I can contact them. Andy
peejay4A
? I'm not sure you understood my post. Does your counter have a chrome bezel or is it black? Chrome for CR. Edited August 26, 2016 by peejay4A
andy taylor
Sorry it is a CR car. Originally it had a black bezel. I do not seem to be having any luck tracking one down or an old one that I can take the pointer off. Thanks Pete
andy taylor
Sorry have reread your post, I am a little confused, it is a CR car but with black bezels. VI number CR57790. Andy
peejay4A
This one? https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTseWNgqaho_bFWNO4UycrmuwetRV4QPiANFulUs5YmLC3Tr4AOuA or this? http://www.triumphexp.com/registry/pictures/181836/1976_Triumph_TR6_Red_003.jpg I would think the chances of getting a pointer on its own are vanishingly small. A new instrument seems the best approach. You could try: TR Shop, they sometimes have refurbed instruments. Ray Gill/Helen, on here.
