Dave Ashworth
Dear All, I need to buy a battery for a TR5. I would like a good, solid heavy duty jobby. Can anyone recommend the latest good deal please? Thanks very much. Dave.
TR5tar
Hi Dave,I put an Optima Redtop on my 5 (815 cca,100ah) . . . https://www.tayna.co.uk/Optima-Red-Top-Battery-RTS-4.2-P8903.html It's not exactly a good deal on price, but the battery has performed very well for me. Yep Word of warning If you use Tayna.co.uk, you will get a low cost battery, but, absolutely no support if it goes tits up. I speak from bitter experience

Dave we have a firm called Manchester batteries or ManBat, they supply Varta Batteries top hole stuff. and sometimes they will sell you one that has been scratched in transit a fair bit cheaper. Don't know if you have the firm near you, give it a try best Pete
Nigel Triumph
+1 for Halfords but HCB005 on my 6. It has 510 amps cold cranking capacity and the calcium technology holds charge very well even when laid up for weeks in the winter. Nigel
