Hardtop fitting instructions

Recommended Posts

make sure you have all the bits also check the rear rubber spacers are in good condition otherwise the top can damage the paint work. Also you need a couple of people to lift it onto the car, its heavy!

I fitted one to my TR6 over the winter and it was very good, quiet and seemed to stiffen the body (I think my chassis is ok).

Thanks for the advice Mike.

All the paintwork will be new!!

All seals and rubbers will be renewed. Maybe it's better to fit the glass after the top is mounted to the car to keep it lighter.

Added stiffness is my first concern since the car will be used as a historic rally car.
