Peter Cobbold
You mean this way? VR-Sensor klein.jpg Can only be as good as the mapping is and from the MPG it seems you are pretty close. If engine does not pink I would be happy with that, on the other hand this swap is quickly done and may be a nice task over winter Andreas, That crank trigger means you use wasted sparks? while Jerry with a disy trigger does not? TriumphV8
Hi Peter I still keep the distributor but only for what the name says it guides the spark to the proper spark plug. The simple reason is that otherwise the distributor looks like a Christmas tree on Easter. Fully removed the drive for the rev counter would be away, too. So it still looks like original as the EFI is not that difference in the engine compartment. With individual coils, you are right, the MegaSquirt would not know which plug to fire and needs two of the six to fire that it can be sure to fire the plug that needs spark. Topoff
Thanks everyone. I guess the the the fact that stands out is just how badly worn/set-up my car was back in 1982. Then it was a 10 year old banger that was not worth spending too much money on, I also drove lt as you would expect a teenager to, not sparing the horses. Now in my 50s I find myself seeing just how far I can get on a tank full, even though I have more money to spend on fuel than I ever did in 1980s, well that's life. Laurence.
