boxofbits
With any vibration could be worth checking all running gear, such as prop and drive shaft UJ's, wheel tightness and engine gearbox and diff mounts. If related to engine speed sounds more like engine or gearbox mounts maybe! Regards Kevin
John Morrison
What car do you have? Exactly the rev range that Triumph introduced the gearbox damping block for, known as the 'Blob' John.

An out of balance wheel can do that. Try swapping rear and front on one side and see if the vibration then comes through the steering. Peter

John Morrison
OK so not a four pot, try getting in the middle of the rev range and knock the car into neutral, if the vibration disappears then its drive train. John.
Dave Burgess
You could do what a derbyshire dales member did recently. Change everything! U/J's ,drive shafts, hubs, etc etc all to no avail. Then decided to change his elderly flat spotted tyres, et voila.
