Steve T
Popped into work today and the male side is finished and I've drilled the holes for the M20 bolts which will attach the female side to its backing plate. Hoping to get in tomorrow and finish off so fingers crossed, the tool will be completed ????????

RogerH
Hi Steve, keep us updated on what press was used - size, tonnage etc. I'm finding the whole thing very fascinating. Roger
Steve T
Will do Roger. I'm going to put it in a 650 ton machine but start at around 250 tons and work it up ( or down ) depending on results.
RogerH
650 tons that makes my 1 ton arbour press look rather inadequate for anything other than staples in thin paper Roger
Steve T
???????? if push comes to shove...we have a 1700 ton machine on site, but I think that may be overkill!!

Hi Steve ,I have been following this with much interest. I started my working life as a toolmaking apprentice. I am guessing you are using an hydraulic injection moulding machine for you press?
