Bodiam
Thanks, Tom, I was rather hoping you'd say that! John
peejay4A
We've had this discussion before. You stand to be disappointed if you fit white LEDs behind green filters. The same applies to rear lights and indicators. Use the matching led colour for the particular filter.
Bodiam
Thank you, Peejay, I didn't realise this particular question had gone round the block before. John
ed_h
Since LEDs are typically not broad-specrum devices as incandescents are, filtering them can be a little unpredictable. Ed
Bodiam
Thanks, Ed. Looks like some experimentation is in order while I've got the dash out and long winter nights to look forward to! John
dkbuck
Take a look at my green leds, David
Bodiam
Hi, David, Very impressive! I have a set of green LED's to fit when I get round to putting the dash back together and I'll be well pleased if I get a result as good as yours. Did you remove the original green plastic lenses, or did you leave them in? Thanks for the interest. John
harrytr5
John, As I have stated there is no need to take out any green lenses and makes no difference.White in one dashboard and green in the other dashboard. So green LEDS all the same colour.White LEDS all the same colour. My green are the same as Davids. I have now seen Blue and Red in Dashboards but prefer Green. Just do it and be rewarded like we have. Regards Harry
Bodiam
Many thanks, Harry, I'll get on with it as soon as the weather warms up a bit and I have got over my struggles renewing the lower crash pads! Kind regards, John
