Mark69
Hi All The rubber components on my a type solenoid are all perished and I would like to replace them with some good quality ones. With all the talk of rubber replacement parts not being up to scratch. Can any of you recommend a good supplier. thanks ,Mark.
RogerH
Hi Mark, Moss sell the top cover (£17 ) but can't see a bottom cover. However a new Solenoid with both covers is £37. Why not buy a new solenoid and have your old one as a spare. If it fails then you can change the covers onto the old spare. Roger
Mark69
Thanks Roger Sounds like a very good idea taking the cost into consideration. New solenoid it is Mark.
RogerH
Hi Mark, when you get the new solenoid make sure that the lower cover does not grip the internal plunger too tightly. I had one quite a few years ago now that held the plunger UP when switched off - this allowed Overdrive in reverse Roger
