mrtim
I am thinking of fitting a laminated windscreen to a 65 TR4a IRS in place of the original toughened screen and leaking seal surround - Moss sell the screen but I would appreciate any first hand experience of the quality, process and end result - Thanks! Ade-TR4
I didn't have any issue with the screen, it was the sealing rubber that was of poor quality. I think I got one from TRF in the end. It now seals water-tight, but the original one from Moss was not good... Ade
RogerH
The ones from Moss are now good. I have fitted two in the last two years and both fitted well and are watertight. Roger
mike3md
When I changed my badly chipped & scratched old Triplex laminated screen for a new laminated one a couple of years ago, it was noticeable how much thinner/lighter the new screen was - the fitter said it wouldn't last as long. We used a Moss screen and rubber without any problems then or since. Mike
mrtim
Thanks for the advice -now fitted a Moss screen and seal - not by me - all seems well apart from the seal on the vertical not flush with the outside of the screen - could fill with a bit of sealant but leaving for now to see if it settles in .......
