Nearly done

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

well nearly back in the fold, bought and sold a TR6 last year and wanted one a touch different and higher performance, so have been working with Woodbridge classics and she is nearly done, bit of a wolf in sheeps clothing, should be sorted next few weeks and will then do the odd East Saxons meet up, anyway all the best and a great site

Hi, quite a bit, competition gearbox, overdrive, dif, driveshafts, tri fold bearings, overbore, higher compression, hot cam, electronic ignition, triple dellorto's, ITG filters, phoenix back to front, kenlowe, ali radiator, brakes and suspension all upgraded as well including rear roll bar, hoping for some go kart handling

Alloy Firewall is pretty reasonable, around about £60ish pre cut out from one of the TR specialists, TR Enterprises/Racetorations/Revingtons and probably most of the others. Not bad to fit yourself and can be done without marking your car where it shows and after fitment nobody can see that it's in place protecting you from fire in case the worst happens.

Remove the rear cockpit trim panel (fibreboard) the alloy firewall will push into position covering the forward face of the fuel tank, (it may need a little fettling for fit, no TRs are the same) and there will likely be two alloy smaller panels supplied which fit around and above the wheel arches that need connecting to it. Secure the firewall to the rear frame with poprivets about 25mm apart after sealing inbetween the firewall and the frame with intumescent sealer or Indasa windscreen sealant, and the same between the smaller panels and the larger firewall panel also. Then put your fibreboard back in front and nobody knows except you.
