as far as I know, most if not all standard taper nuts follow that format. Suggest try a steel wheel nut to see if profile suits, if so then plenty of blingy alternatives on ebay to suit!

I have a set of Compomotive MLs on my 2000. The only thing I would add to Mike's post is make sure you get 7/16 60 degree 'bulge' nuts.

Those without the bulge at the end, you'll find the corners of the nut will start to dig into the insert as you tighten them up.

Something like these should do the trick.

Good thread! (Excuse the pun!)

I'd like a set of new nuts for my Minator ( fake minilight) wheels.

Can anyone point me in the right direction please, also is SS a good idea?

Hi Folks,

Midland Wheel Supplies (MWS - the other one) also do nuts http://www.midlandwheels.com/?x=0&y=0&Query=wheel+nuts

Hi Mark,

make sure your wheels actually require the beveled nut - the parallel shank nut is also popular!!

Hi Steve,

no reason why S/S could not be used - try finding them though. A plain nut could be easily knocked up but the 'bulge' item would be fun to make!!
