cookie
Hi All, I want to fit an inline fuel filter between the tank and the Bosch Fuel pump. The rubber pipe is 1/4 internal diameter (1/2 external). Can anybody recommend a good one and where it would be available. Many Thanks Dave
whatmore179
This is the one I have on my set up from Revingtons. Easy to clean and replace the filter inside. http://www.revingtontr.com/shop/product_display.asp?mscssid=R77EALA39WNN9HEDF351R8P4K5G62C30&CarType=TR6&ProductID=RTR4050K Steve Edited April 17, 2015 by whatmore179
elclem1
A daft question but why would you want two filters on the suction side?
whatmore179
The pre filter from the tank to the pump is gravity fed not under pressure. The filter post pump is. You'll be suprised how much muck from the fuel the pre filter picks up. Steve Edited April 17, 2015 by whatmore179
Marc R
Maybe a stupid question from me who is still using the std lucas pump! I have some difficulty to understand why on the Bosch pump configuration if you have the post pump filter/ under pressure (as recommended), you need a pre-filter/ Gravity. Subsequently, why if you set a pre-filter / Gravity you need a post-filter / under pressure? On my mind I always understand, to address an issue address it as upstream/as close to the source as possible. Regards
