Hi All,

Do you think it would be a good idea to get all the TR5's together for a photo shoot in the main ring area of which is the domain of Robinson/Redway chat show?.I was amazed to find a friend had purchased a TR5 two years ago and it was in front of mine on the production line.Well last month they got together for the first time in 37 years and if I can reproduce the photo on this site you will be able to see the moment.

I am really having trouble with this.

Regards Harry.

See you at the Inter.

Hi All,

They were both in white and I believe it was normal for Triumph to paint them this colour, if not sold to a customer.

Regards Harry.

See you at the Inter.

Another US based TR5.  Brought over to the US 10 years ago when I moved from the UK.  I've just moved to the San Jose area (California), and I have no idea how to register the vehicle!  Guidance very much appreciated.

Thanks

Jim

James,

great looking car and just the right registration. How do you get around emmission controls in the USA now given that they were the reason the TR250 was issued in the States and not the TR5?

I expected to see a whole bunch of pics from the International posted her eby now, so with apologies to the owners of the cars I will stsrt the ball rolling again with this image.

Harry,

I suspect so. I know it has won many prizes including the NEC.

It looks fantastic but can't possibly be driven regularly. All concours cars are supposed to be driven to the show - so perhaps we are wrong.

All very nice to look at(purists will point out the lack of black sills)but for me the cars are for driving not to be kept as trophies.

Due to the rain i never got around to taking a pic of your super car Harry - I will make amends at Duxford.

Duncan.

I must be awake  when I post next time. The above should read , Picture of Alun Jones car and miniature copy from Malvern,Alun not being present in the photo, only some drunken female trying to steal his tax disc who was escorted away after some time still claiming to be his wife.

Hi All,

Herewith my first TR5 post!

Enclosed is pic of my TR5 "Mohawk" at a gite near Arras in France, where we stayed recently with 2 other couples from Cambs Followers, with their TR3A and TR4 respectively.  This was our 4th year in France, and a great place it is for open top, open road motoring (plus food, wine and scenery!)

The car's name was chosen by one of the Cambs Followers lady followers, if you see what I mean, and was taken from the registration number MWK 407G.  This is the car restored by Ian Rigby (see other posts on this topic) and covered in TR Action.  A fine job he did too!  So hopefully this photo will encourage Ian to crack on with his current restoration!

Regards to fellow fivers,

Chris
