Alec Pringle
Yes Neil, I can hear the cogs clanging from here . . . . Wayne probably assumed that we'd all recall seminar series of yesteryear - he grew up with TRs remember, his memory goes back a good way ! In any case, I've been liaising with him on a couple of future exercises recently, and he has so many new initiatives on the go that it's mind boggling. For heaven's sake let's not get all hung up on the wording detail of a quick announcement posted on Forum. It's the TR Register, not the bloody Palace of Westminster . . . .. Cheers Alec
barkerwilliams
As a newcomer to the club I am surprised by these comments. I am from the IT industry where rates of £600 per delegate per day plus vat are the norm. £50 per delegate day seems absolutely terrific value.
Tom Boyd
If Wayne had stated from the off there would be other seminars from different suppliers I would not have raised the topic, please feel free to delete it. ( brain in gear as Alec would say). The TR Register is excited to announce the first of its 2015 season of Technical Seminars. These informative days give you the opportunity to spend a day at the workshops of respected TR specialists to gain an insight into the handy hints and tips they have to share. The day will consist of demonstrations and walkthroughs from TR engineering experts. If you read it closely it implies that other seminars are taking place and at specialists, not a specialist. No harm, no foul I assume we will see you on the day? Tom
Tom Boyd
Oh and if anyone is interested I will post links up tomorrow of local hotels etc Tom
Dave Ashworth
I've booked and its the four banger that's my passion rather than the six pot, but you know what? I would like to support this initiative from the get go, and on the day I WILL learn some good and useful stuff that will apply to all engines of our ilk and hopefully meet some of the names we all know of the forum. It will be very good I'm sure. I even cancelled an appointment for that day... I must remember to tell him. Dave.

Wayne Scott
Sorry, the 6 cylinder engine Technical Seminar is now SOLD OUT. We ran this as a 'toe in the water' exercise to test demand and following the overwhelming response it is very obvious that this sort of Technical Seminar is much sought after by our members. Therefore, we will be running other seminars on different topics around the country at various other locations and specialists over the next 12 months. We aim to offer seminars covering all aspects of TR maintenance and rebuilding across all models and a chance to meet and learn from a variety of different specialists around the country. Given the high-demand for so few places for this 6 cylinder engine seminar we will also talk with our partners TR Enterprises about repeating this later in the year. We owe a huge debt of gratitude to TR Enterprises who are not making any profit out of this event. The TR Register, after paying costs hopes to make a small surplus to invest in bigger and more frequent Technical seminars for our members in the immediate future. Of course if you attend our International Weekend event on 7-9th August, at Malvern 3 Counties Showground we will shortly be announcing another series of Technical seminars over the course of that weekend that will be free to all International Weekend ticket holders. I'll keep everyone informed via the TR Register Website, Forum, E-Newsletter and TR Action Magazine as to when the next seminar dates and locations will be. Thanks for your continued support! RogerH
Hi Monty, If you have paid to get in either day or week-end you are there. I believe there is no one vetting attendee's. Turn up and enjoy. Roger
Rob Y
As one of the lucky ones who got a place on the seminar, will there be any further details issued before the event - I was thinking mainly of timing. what time does it start and finish? Do we need to take anything - it mentions "hands on" so overalls? (health and safety, so steel toe caps?). finally nothing is mentioned about level of knowledge for participants so I guess it is aimed at all levels. Regarding some of the earlier comments too - perhaps even the same seminar could be run by different Specialists in different parts of the country, it was mentioned that different topics would be covered in different areas but I think you could open it further and get other specialists to offer the same seminars to spread it around the country a bit more. Cheers Rob
