Fireman049
I would like to fit an Inertia cut off switch to the SU electric pump on my TR3A. I notice that the Land Rover Inertia switches are very cheap to buy. Are they suitable for what I want? Tom.
stuart
Yes Tom they will work fine, just try and get the associated plug off the loom to go with it. Stuart.

MilesA
Tom If you cannot find one with a plug as Stuart recommends, Autosparks sell the relevant plug. PM me if you need details. Miles Edited January 6, 2015 by MilesA
Chilliman
Or get one of these which is the correct connector and cheaper: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/271674203749?_trksid=p2060778.m2749.l2649&var=570549523985&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
Malcolm Tatton
Thanks for the link John, presume it is the 3 way option? (sorry just realised that your link is already to the 3 way, thanks) Edited January 6, 2015 by Malcolm T

john.r.davies
Clearly, Tom, you've gone for the 3-lead type of inertia switch. It's worth a mention that 2-lead versions exist, but the 3 allows a little warning light to fire up and tell you why your car has quietly and gently refused to go any further. Then, merely pressing on the cut-out switch will restore normal function, and prevent a lot of head scratching. JOhn

Yup - spot on and if the switch should ever malfunction just pull the leads from the two outer terminals and join together which will by-pass the switch and power the pump...simples!
