Mark69
Hi Just purchased a twin sports exhaust s / steel. I have the fixing kit and gearbox bracket. Wondering what's the best way to attach the rear boxes to chassis. Thanks Mark.

Mark69
Interesting, I was hoping to fit prior to body being fitted. Have you / anybody got any photos, how about welding brackets to boot floor before paint. Mark.
peejay4A
On my 6 I used two U clamps around the spare wheel well chassis tube and dropped the hangers from them. No drilling.
grumpy2
Hope you don't mind me asking but which one did you go for? I'm thinking of fitting one as part of my winter programme of improvements.
Mark69
Purchased mine from tr shop London. Company called double exhausts
Peter Rocks
The boot floor is not really strong enough. I fitted a Phoenix twin system and fitted a section of Dexion angle between the two rearmost body mounts and hang the boxes from it.

DaveN
I'm thinking of replacing my SS standard set up......I fancy the twin box set up. But what is the one that generates the most noise?
steved69tr6
I've still got the mounting fitted to mine, even thou I converted it back to original style. I've never had any issues with them drilled into the body boot pan. Had them like it on a Spitfire, My TR6 and a few of my custermers cars have had them like it with no problems

Have had no problems whatsoever. Cheers Tony
