Just mooching the old files and found this - what were we thinking of in those days!!!

As featured here in the mid seventies

Come on Alec it was local to you in south Dorsetshire - did you buy it and break it?

Cheers

Hi Peter W,

Just browsing the net and put in my old number and came up with your enquiry. My name is Steve Moir and Fergy was my first TR. I am at the moment rebuilding a 1965 TR4A . I sold Fergy in 1973 to a Triumph dealer in Colmar France for display in his showroom. I have made various enquiries re the reg no over the years and have never had a trace. If you look very closely at the article you will see a small gnome sitting on the green velvetex air vent . The same gnome is now sitting in the starter handle hole in the front of my 4A . I would love to see Fergy again as I put a lot of my early life into him. Also in the article is Steves girlfriend Jan who has been my wife for 41 years. It just goes to show that ladies in cold garages cleaning carbony valves does not necessarily mean they will cast you aside at the earliest opportunity.

By the way, the 4A although lightly tuned has not had its arches flared ! Yet!!!

Memories.

Steve Moir.
