Andrew Smith
That's a great read Paul. Made me late for work! Roger Roger, Errrrrrrrrrrr, don't you work from home? Paul, Great photos and article - shown Bev and she rather likes the Italia, so may be looking in that direction when I eventually pass on the TR6 - if I can afford one! Cheers Andrew

Pogo
Roger, Errrrrrrrrrrr, don't you work from home? I do normally Andrew, but since the beginning of July I have been freelancing at a company in Northwich - 70 mile round trip. Most of those days in the TR6 - lovely! Paul Harvey
The 'missing' part of the story is over 200 expert hours of time at Stuart Edwards' workshop. Refreshing the mechanicals was relatively straightforward, repairing the paint was another matter. Asking people who normally produce perfect results to do absolutely nothing to improve the car was difficult. The result is that nothing appears to have been done, but we have bought time before more intervention will be required. I am extremely grateful for Stuart's understanding, and especially for glueing all those bits of rubber back together, which seemed impossible to start with It is fascinating to see people's reactions when they finally meet the car. An unrestored car begs forgiveness, in a way perfection never can. Ladies contemplating cosmetic surgery should listen to what men really think, because they would surely change their plans. dykins
Fabulous story. You know that this story would make a marvellous book like Pogo's and Raymond's.
ray gill
Nice read Paul and very tenacious of you. I Like that sort of personally also like the car. Now I must get to Stuart for some of his cosmetic work. And I'd suggest you get some lessons in at the end of the year. All the best helen
Trigbush
Great story Paul - very well written (I finally found some time to sit down with a coffee and enjoy it). I think it is about time the TR Italia Registrar had his own Italia page on the TRR website don't you? (p.s. I didn't know you had a 550 - it's on my top ten list of cars to acquire in the next 10 years...!) Edited September 12, 2014 by Trigbush

The NSX was a better all round car - both are too fast for real fun on real roads
