RobIsaacson
Hi All Where's the best place to go for a complete wiring loom / harness? Car is a complete body off rebuild and seems sensible to replace this while it's out. Many thanks Rob
Ade_TR6
Rob, Don't forget to get one of these when you replace the loom...
colin_c
I have new unused (still in packaging) looms available for less than normal retail price. Loom may be Year dependent, these were purchased for a 74/75 car from TRShop. I can provide their reference numbers for the looms to cross check if that is of any use. Feel free to PM me. peejay4A
Autosparks. They will also customise to add driving lamps, electric fan, relays for headlamps etc.
WWT338J
Yep. Autosparks are knowledgeable and helpful. They will customise a wiring loom to add pretty much anything you want. If you want an electric fan or hazard warning lights they will put the wires in the right place. You don't have to tell them where to put the wires they just seem to know. RobIsaacson
Nice, many thanks. TBH I've been looking at Autosparks but just wanted to know if there are any alternatives, anything better or any horror stories. Nothing better than recommendation. Guest ntc
There is and not Autosparks pm me if needed Cost me £700 to sort there cock up out never again and they did not give a toss. Edited August 15, 2014 by ntc
graeme
I have recently fitted an Autosparks loom to my TR6. I will be making my own for the TR250. Nuff said!! Graeme
TRTerry
I found AutoSparks to be very helpful, and they provided me with an excellent service.
Andrew Smith
I found AutoSparks to be very helpful, and they provided me with an excellent service. +1 when I fitted a new loom to TuRK a few year ago. Had no issues,
pellert
Neil, I purchased a bulk standard loom from Autosparks circa 4 years ago, it is laid out in the car with a few connections made in the engine bay. What 'little gems' have I got to look forward too? It would be great to know before I get too advanced in the dashboard area. Kind Regards Paul
Guest ntc
Paul They missed one brown wire for the ammeter the whole loom had to be unpicked and they did not want to know Edited August 16, 2014 by ntc
pellert
Thanks for the tip Neil, I will see if I can check that little beauty before I go any further (and probably the rest of the loom). That must have been so frustrating! Kind Regards Paul
peejay4A
So presumably all their looms are wrong for a particular model?
pellert
Peejay, maybe, maybe not; but from my perspective I would rather know of previous issues and spend 2 to 3 hours checking my own loom before proceeding too far. I have been in the QA/QC world for many years to know that humans make mistakes, usually costly ones. Kind regards Paul
peejay4A
My point, not made very clearly, was hinting at why would Autosparks would not correct an obvious error?
Guest ntc
My point, not made very clearly, was hinting at why would Autosparks would not correct an obvious error? They presumed I was fitting a voltmeter in a 3 again there cock up.
peejay4A
And they refused to correct it?

Dave Burgess
Rob I have nothing but praise for Autosparks. Found them very helpful, nothing too much trouble when I was creating my very bespoke loom. As for finished quality, everything worked first time and still is. Guest ntc
Stuart can confirm that what I say is correct.
mike3739
When I had my car rebuilt by Jigsaw Racing it had a new loom never had a hint of trouble & that is 40,000 miles later. Cheers Mike
Tim D.
Also had one from autosparks for a rather special midget I was doing. So lots of special extras in the wiring. All fitted pretty well.
Coulstock
Hi, I want to buy a new loom for my Tr6 (probably very standard) and have read comments on Autosparks. I would be interested on people's opinion s on Rimmer bros, Moss, Revingtons etc Wiring Looms. Many Thanks Coulstock
RobinTR6
Suspect that most of them are from Autosparks, the one I got from Moss was, also TR Bitz was Autosparks. Just fitted one without issue from TRGB who were a bit cheaper than some of the others, again suspect its an Autosparks loom, certainly looks the same.
