That assumes some muppet hasn't filled the underground petrol tank with diesel.

Massive pinking and clouds of smoke. I questioned myself util I checked the receipt which showed "unleaded" B*** Tesco. Wierdly at the time I couldn't smell the diesel in the fuel however Tesco head office were fine about it reimbursing drainage costs, fuel and filter costs once I had quoted date and pump number.

Hi Paul, that looks good, post a pic when you fit the grill. Ever since I painted my grill  I've been toying with the idea of painting behind the grill

When the cars left the factory was the rear or the grill the car colour or black?

Cheers Phil

Well done mike. Pegs are great but I had to buy my own to line the hard top.

Genuine factory black behind the grill was never very neat and looked like this courtesy of Andrew Smith.

Hi Andrew,

good to hear from you! I have classified this under “invisible technical improvements”.
The pictures you provided last year helped me with the correct paint area’s front and rear. In fact, I gave your pictures to my paint shop!
Thanks again.

Got my phoenix big bore cross box fitted to replace the twin silencer that was on it. Sounds amazing.

Also fitted an overdrive switch as the stalk had been cut down, much nicer to be able to flick it on with a finger, hand still on the wheel.

Not by then, even my previous very late 4a still had its original "Hills" reflective number plates fitted from new "F" plate 1967.

No John,

and funnily, SHE provided the solution,  “Waldi you should try some soap”, and she didn’t need a TR forum for that wisdom:rolleyes:. Yes, I know, I’m stubborn and knew it would go easier, but did not like the idea of the corrosive residue left by the soap. Now it’s there.

Why are so very few women interested in spannering?

Food for thought.
