Had a gearbox/clutch workshop with two friends about our new project: a DIY hydraulic clutch release bearing for TR4A-TR6 for small money.

We are on a very good way, I'm thinking about a thread about that if there is any interest.

Bit of patching and panel making on Sat.

The drivers side bulkhead panel had rot and a crack and needed a patch right along its length so the original filler panel from the wheel arch was toast so I remade out of 18 gauge thicker than the original which was thinned by rust. Plan to do the other side after fixing the whole and replacing the battery tray just can't yet decide where to cut its mainly the rear seam and bottom that is really thin.

Note it’s colour coordinated, even the pad is Red!

that machine is actually Amita’s grp polishing machine, so yes care is needed but it’s very light and controlable.

steve

ps, car looking very shiny, in the garage hiding from the rain !

Solved an intermittent fault on one of my TVRs, a V8 with fuel injection.

Took me centuries to find that a new temperature sensor was the culprit…...
