I have just re-fitted all 6 injectors following their complete overhaul  by a specialist. I followed instructions on their replacement, primed them, bled them, lightly put copper slip on the injector thread and tightened them up, but now find that 1,2,4 and 6 seem to be weeping fuel when I fire the car up. Is there something I'm missing here. I tried to re-tighten the nuts but to no avail.

Any suggestions please. The weather is fine, I'm on holiday but going nowhere c'os of the leaking injectors. :(

I had the same problem with one of mine after refurbishment.  I just properly tightened it and it was fine.  They do take some "gurn" to get them on the hose connections especially if there is any rust lingering.  Bloke to speak to is Mike Bilney if you didn't already get him to service them.  I can recommend him - he is excellent...

Regards

Matt

Richard, the leaks appeared to be where the large nut on the body of the injector sits, however, yesterday, I removed 1,2,5 and 6 again and lubricated the injector thread with petroleum jelly and took my time making sure the flared pipe sat sweetly in the top of the injector then screwed the lead cap nut onto the thread by hand till tight then using 2 spanners tightened the 2 nuts up. Touchwood, it seems to have worked. I was sure the problem was situated where the flared pipe sits in the top of the injector because theres' no washer or any form of seal there, just metal to metal. Anyway, I'm sorted. Thanks for your reply.  :D
