AL TR250
Does anyone have any experience of what's involved in converting a TR250 to pass an MOT? I am presuming a change of headlights so they dip the right way and amber lenses in the rear lights for the indicator, but is there anything else crucial? Thanks AL
stuart
Probably seat belts as most US cars of that era had lap belts only. You may need to fit amber bulbs in the front grill indicators if you have white lenses but that may not be picked up by the tester. If it is fitted with hazards then they have got to work. Stuart. mleyland
I don't think lap belts will be a problem. I think you've got it covered
AL TR250
Thanks for that. I will speak to my local MOT tester and see what he says about the lap belts before I take it in. No doubt he will have a grumble and go and consult his big book of knowledge.
CanJ
AL, I'd be interested to hear how you get on as I'm going to do the same in about a month? Did you have any other issues, I guess it's imported? Chris
AlanT
I'd encourage you to use the normal belts, even if lap-belts pass. Lap-belts can cause a quite unpleasant kind of injury.
AL TR250
I don't have the car yet, so I'll have to wait and see what's fitted.
johnny250
I can confirm that you don't need the bonnet or numberplates fitted.......
