Grinnal
Hi Folks Please look at the attached pictures I have a threaded whole in th head and not sure if it is just a blanking plug that is required. The head number is 213013 Thanks Mike
PaulAA
Mike You are missing (but can do without) the pressure relief device, as image. Blank it off and make sure that the connecting point on the manifold is also blanked off. I asked the reverse question some months ago (can I get rid of the one I've got?) and somebody was kind enought to provide the exact sizes of the blanking screws... but I can't find it now. Grinnal
Hi Guys, thanks for the advice I have picked up this information on the Blanks required but I am having a problem finding them, any Ideas who might supply them? For the EGR threaded holes: The head= 3/4" X 16 bolt The intake manifold= 1/2" NPT plug
PaulAA
Mike I'm tackling this task this weekend as well. For the 1/2" manifold plug, try this For the 3/4" bolt, I'm banking on something matching the EGR valve down at the local motor factor. Cheers Paul
Grinnal
Thanks Paul Please let me know how you get on with the 3/4" bolt, I don't have the valve to match Cheers Mike
PaulAA
Mike The post let me down and the plug hasn't arrived, so I won't be doing the job this weekend. As soon as it's done, I'll let you know what I found to fit the hole in the head. Cheers Paul
PaulAA
Mike The plug arrived and... it's the wrong size. The two vacuum outlets opposite the carbs are different sizes - one less than 1/2" and the other larger than 1/2". I haven't measured them accurately yet, but I wonder whether the hole size varies according to market/year or whether mine has simply been bored out to a larger diameter. Somewhat frustrating...
