JJC
Would welcome views based on recent experience on where to get quality synchro cups. Don't want to repeat the job in less than many tens of thousands of miles. JJC
graeme
I got some from Revington about 20 months ago. They seemed to be good quality, the clearances were good and the box has now done about 5000 miles without a problem. Cheers Graeme
JJC
Graeme - many thanks, useful to know. JJC
Nick Jones
Couple of years back it used to be that they were offered in "standard" quality and "race" quality. Standard quality were apparently intended for christmas crackers (the ones I had were not even round) but the race ones pretty reasonable quality, if rather pricey. Alternatively there is a guy who occasionally sells gearbox sets of used ones on ebay. The 3rd/4th ones are usually in pretty good condition. Nick
Ashley James
I've got the Moss Race Syncro rings in my 3A, as recommended by Pete Cox
JJC
Ashley - thanks, saves me trying to get a response from Pete Cox! JJC
JJC
That's answered the question on synchros. Anyone any thoughts on bearings? Inclination is to reuse originals if they look ok if there's any doubt about quality of aftermarket parts. Expert view would be very welcome. JJC
matt george
I used RHP bearings and competition synchro rings in my 'box, as offered by TR Enterprises. Very happy with the results. Same part numbers are available through Moss, but a tad more expensive. Matt Edited December 11, 2013 by matt george
