jerrytr5
Just been out to my local factor for brake fluid and I was persuaded to purchase some Dot4 ESP against the 5.1 that I usually use. The manager (who usually knows what he's talking about) suggested it was superior to 5.1. According to the website blurb it is "Specially formulated for use in vehicles fitted with ESP (Electronic Stability Programme) technology."I can't make up my mind if the claim for having low viscosity is a good or a bad thing. Anyone tried it in an older vehicle ? It is NOT silicone before we raise that old chestnut from the grave. Jerry
RogerH
Hi Jerry, DOT 5.1 is designed for use with ABS normally. So your DOT4ESP being superior is not required on a standard TR. In what way is it superior!!!!! DOT 4 can be obtained in a 'standard' format or upgraded 'Superior'. Even Halfords do a standard and super version. Roger
