mike3md
A friend ( well known in certain TR circles.......) has fitted his prop shaft with the sliding joint at the diff end, will this cause a problem, and why ( trying to avoid one word answers ). On the face of it we cannot see one. It is a non IRS car, but would the same apply for an IRS one? Thanks Mike
LGFromage
Spitfires and GT6s have their sliding joints at the diff end so it I suggest it does not matter. Tim
Peter Cobbold
On IRS the sliding joint slides much less than with live axle, it just takes up the relative motion of diff and gearbox on their mountings. Getting to the slding joint grease nipple in the middle of the cruciform might be tricky...
