Loose bolt

Recommended Posts

Hello, I am hoping for a little help.

I've had my TR6 a year now and loving it to bit's. Although it came fitted with a very robust roll bar, I have decided that I prefer the TR without it so have now removed it (and am looking for a buyer!)

Before removal I found one of the securing bolts was loose, after removing the roll bar it does not tighten (see pic attached)

It's behind the drivers seat and seems to bolt the body to the chassis.

My question is, does this bolt into a thread on the chassis, or should it have a securing nut?

I have looked in the Rimmer catalogue and "think" it should tighten without a nut...

Can you help me please?

Thank you

Nigel

Thats a mounting bolt that goes into a bracket on top of the rear spring bridge. The captive often gets stripped and a nut put underneath, bit of a bu@@er to get to with a spanner to stop it rotating.
