Smeggie
Hi Before I meddle with the wiper arms can anybody offer advice on how to make the blade touch and clean the lower part of the drivers side? I have tried 3 different types of blade but they don't bend round the curved bit Thanks Smeggy
SteveF
In my experience you wont get it to touch all the screen in all places. I`ve bent/twisted/modified and still it misses that lower bottom edge!! I just use Rainex on the screen and at anything speed over 30mph the water beads off, sometimes you even need the wipers on. Sorry to be negative! Cheers, Steve.
Davidw
Steve's right, I'm afraid. What you want is not available in this world. We're supposed to be grateful if the motor actually turns with the wipers on the screen! The solution is to use Rain-X and drive faster!
Yorkie
I agree- I second Steve's answer Regards Al
ianhoward
Good stuff that Rain-X, though doesn't last too long once you do need to start using the wipers! Cheers Ian
Smeggie
Brilliant never considered using a screen protector thanks to everyone who replied
AlanT
Can do a bit better by fiddling with the shape of the two bits that hold the outside end of the blade. This not helped by the sweep being 115 degrees rather than 120 like it is on a 4/4A.
RobinTR6
As recommended to me leave the wipers when at rest in the vertical position, or swap them around regularily as this will help with the fact that the drivers one gets into a curve shape and hence doesn't work well. Doesn't cost anything to do but a bit of a fag.
