mjc
My friend came round looking for a coil for his old landrover to get him out of trouble. I happily took off my 10 year old coil from my TR6 as I had a new Lucas gold DLB 105 spare. Fitted the gold coil to the 6 and it ran like a dog missing on take off. Got the old coil back and I can't believe the difference. Was this the wrong coil? What is the best coil to fit these days? Thanks Mike Edited July 23, 2013 by mjc
Ragtag
On a '71 6, the DLB 105 should work fine. Does on mine. You don't have a non standard ballast resistor fitted do you?
mjc
No it's a standard set up with no ballast resistor. I just wonder if I got a dodgy DLB coil.
