Flipping Oil Slick

Recommended Posts

Hi Chaps,

After fitting a new alloy rocker cover I find I now have a pool of oil under the car. I was really careful on how I fitted the cover and new gasket. I did notice the new filler cap was vented, whilst the original was not??

Any suggestions?

Cheers

Same problem on mine, I added a small stainless self tapper with some locktite, no more leaks.

Did get a new cap once, poor seal which also leaked.

Another alloy rocker cover had a poor seal between the neck of the filler and the allot body.

I think the caps maybe from motorcycle fuel tanks, hence a breather hole.

Mark.
