US TR6 throttle assembly

Recommended Posts

Hi

My first post! I have imported a 75 TR6 from the US as a project. It was missing the manifold, and the carbs were dismantled, so I bought a set of SU carbs and manifolds off a 2500S. However, now having put them on, I am having trouble sorting out how the throttle works. It seems to consist of some kind of rod assembly, that I don't have all the parts for.

So, I am a bit stuck as to what to do - any ideas anyone?

Hi

Thanks for the replies. I have found this bracket, and probably a few of the rods, but I'll have to go through the boxes that came with this car to find everything. The reason for fitting the SU carbs is that the original inlet manifold was missing, and one of the carbs is dismantled - so I thought that it would be easier to get a set of replacement carbs for it and the SUs are better carbs in my opinion.

So, the question is - will this bracket work with the SU carbs, which are usually cable operated, or not?

Thanks

A

Thanks..My carb sync'ing tool. On ZS carbs I use this threaded hole as a reference point. I remove the amplifier and place the open end of stethescope just so...listening to and comparing the "hisssses".
